Born and bred

Born in Doringkop in Middelburg (Mpumalanga) and grew up in Siyabuswa. Attended school at Kabenziwa Primary, Buhlebuzile Combined School and completed high school at Bonginhlanhla Senior Secondary School in 1992.

Tertiary qualifications

Studied for a professional diploma in teaching (S.P.T.D) at Ndebele College of Education (1997), B.Tech in Education Management at Tshwane University of Technology (2004), Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management at Regenesys (2008), Certificate in Human Resource Management and Advanced Certificate in Human Resource Management both at UNISA and ACE in School Leadership and Management at University of Free State (UFS). And currently doing a BA in Communication Science at NISA and ACT: EMS Senior Phase at UFS. Also obtained a Certificate in Sport Psychology at UNISA and a Certificate in Radio Broadcasting from Intec College.

I believe that a person who acquires knowledge is in a better space to grow and be a better person in life.

Work experience

Started teaching in Siyabuswa as a volunteer teacher for 9 months (one of my best times in teaching), went to Weltevrede on a substitute post and was appointed permanently at Maphala Gulube Primary (Embalenhle) in 2000 till 2004. In 2005 got promoted as an HOD at Mpumelelo Primary School (Leslie)’ was transferred to Shapeve Primary (Embalenhle) in 2007. In 2008 was promoted as a Deputy Principal at Mavula Primary School (Vezubuhle) and redeployed to Tjhidelani Primary School in 2011 due to operational needs. In 2014 was promoted as a Principal at Nkotolane Primary School (Mmametlhake) but left after a year to settle for a Deputy Principal’s post in 2015 at Gekombineerde Skool Ogies in 2016 January and subsequently promoted as a principal after 10 months on 01st November 2016.

Priorities as a principal of the school

To help the school improve the overall performance To increase enrolment to 750 and beyond To help create a new image and appeal from the public To solicit the donors and sponsorship in order to renovate and revamp buildings.


To help make the school one of the best in the province

Other interests


A radio presenter at Kangala Community Radio Services (K.C.R.S 92.8 FM) since 2013 and in 2016 got a break to host a music show called “Mavuthela Music Rendezvous” on Ubuntu FM Radio Africa an international collaboration between people from South Africa, Nigeria, Netherlands, Germany, USA and Canada.

Being on radio and playing music is my passion...... It is therapeutic indeed.
